Senior Software Developer; SAP S/4HANA Finance

Location: Toronto, ON

Overview:

This role is ideal for an experienced SAP developer with strong skills in ABAP, SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP BTP, and SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC).

You will support and improve existing SAP applications, monitor system performance and integrations, assist with the migration from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA, develop and maintain BTP integrations between SAP ECC and SAP SuccessFactors, and help expand the organization's use of BTP and BDC for application development, automation, extensions, and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Experience:

• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP capabilities, including application development, extension patterns, integration services, security/identity concepts, Fiori/UI5, CDS views, and OData services.
• Understanding of clean-core principles and how BTP can be used to extend S/4HANA while minimizing customization within the core ERP system.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), including data integration, modelling, governance, analytics enablement, and the ability to connect SAP and non-SAP data sources to support finance reporting, planning, and decision-making.
• 10+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, including custom reports, enhancements, interfaces, and forms.
• Strong understanding of SAP ECC and S/4HANA Finance modules and data structures. Strong understanding of ECC to SAP SuccessFactors integrations
• Experience with system performance tuning, debugging, and integration monitoring.
• Proven experience in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration projects.
• Solid understanding of SAP development lifecycle, transport management, and version control.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.
