What You’ll Do:

1. Responsible for 24x7 availability of SAP systems running in SAP ECS;
2. Respond, troubleshoot and resolve alerts and incidents;
3. Being an escalation point for productive issues;
4. Follow change management processes during service request execution;
5. Seek opportunities to streamline standard operating procedures through automation;
6. Drive various projects to optimize the concepts of HANA Enterprise Cloud;
7. Design and implement counter measures to prevent issue repetition;
8. Design and conduct knowledge transfer to the global Operations community and create technical documentation.

What You’ll Bring:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technologies Management;
2. Solid understanding of SAP application technology, especially S/4HANA and SAP ABAP;
3. Experience in at least one non-NetWeaver technology;
4. Proven experience in agile Project Management;
5. Strong capabilities in technical documentation;
6. Good analytical and solution-oriented thinking;
7. Very good communication and networking skills;
8. Very good English language skills.

Work Experience:

1. 12+ years experience as Technical SAP NetWeaver (ABAP and Java Basis administration) or non-NetWeaver engineer;
2. Strong working knowledge in Linux and Windows operating systems;
3. Strong working knowledge in HANA, Sybase ASE, and other Database management systems;
4. Strong analytical skills in RCA and problem management;
5. Strong working knowledge managing technical documentation.

Within the Customer Services and Delivery (CS&D) board area, the mission of the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) organization is to run and operate SAP’s private cloud offering. The ECS Delivery Technical Operations teams run the HANA Enterprise Cloud and are responsible for the operation of OS, Databases, and Applications as well as to provide 24/7 support for our customers.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for this position. The targeted combined range for this position is 156000 - 265100 (CAD).

Due to the nature of the role, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in Quebec.
