Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. As a Sanitor, you are part of a team producing retail ready fresh meat products for our customers. These products include beef, pork, veal, ground beef and fresh sausage products. This is a full-time permanent position.

As a member of the team you will be responsible for a variety of duties including:

Requirements

• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE, i.e. hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, and other safety equipment, etc) as provided by the Employer
• Working in a variety of environments including wet, humid, cold, hot, inside or outside. Slippery floor, and loud ambient noise
• Working with various chemicals, machinery, and production equipment
• Working in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive motion work in hand scrubbing and running a hose, including scrubbing walls, floors, tables, hallways and other production equipment
• Ability to pull, push and lift of sanitation equipment over 50 pounds
• Complete mandatory safety training as outlined for the job assignment.
• Complete mandatory food safety/GMP training as outlined for the job assignment

• High School Diploma required
• 1 to less than 7-month full time work experience in a physically demanding job, similar to the food processing industry
• Working knowledge of production equipment
• Willingness to take the time to learn the proper, safe way to perform any task.
• Ability to understand and apply safe work practices and principles

• Motivated with core values of ownership, accountability and determination
