Job summary

Wonderbrands is hiring for a sanitation role at our Winnipeg facility. The position requires open availability across shifts, a focus on cleanliness, and adherence to GMP and safety standards.

The wage is $20/hour with a $2 night shift premium where applicable. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for overtime and career growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or food production preferred.
• Ability to handle sanitizing agents safely.
• Strong attention to detail to meet cleanliness standards.
• Comfortable working across shifts including overtime.
• Interest in bread and baked goods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding area.
• Use cleaning equipment to clean production floors, ceilings, and walls of the bakery.
• Lockouts, dismantling, cleaning and sanitizing of production machines as required per sanitation schedule.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures per GMP and Health and Safety guidelines.
• Collect waste and recyclables from production area and dispose of them.
• Assist in cleaning of major spills of liquid or dry product as needed.
• Perform specialized cleaning procedures per master sanitation schedule.
• Comply with all applicable law and Weston Bakeries food safety, health and safety and environmental policies.

Wage:$20/hour, $2 Night shift premium details (if applicable)

Shift:Open Availability / Available to work any shift (flexibility with working overtime, and on weekends, as necessary)

Responsibilities

• Maintainthe cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding area.
• Use cleaning equipment (scrapers, brushes, pads, vacuums, scrub machine, compressed air,power washers) to clean production floors, ceilings, walls of the bakery (warehouse, freezer, refrigerators, packing and production).
• Beresponsible for lockouts, dismantling, cleaning and sanitizing ofproduction machines as requiredin accordance with master sanitation schedule and standard operating procedures.
• Adhereto cleaning procedures in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices Standards and Health and Safety guidelines.
• Collectwaste andrecyclable materials from production areaand dispose of them.
• Assist in the cleaning of any major spills of liquid or dry product as needed.
• Perform specialized cleaning procedures in accordance with master sanitation schedule.
• Comply with all applicable legislative and Weston Bakeries food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Be a loverof bread and baked goods!
• Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing!).
• Have previous experience in sanitation (even better if it is industrial sanitation!).
• You are comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals.
• You’ve got really strong attention to detail and are able to meet cleanliness standards set by the company.
• Like working in a fast-paced environment, be self-reliant, and be energized by opportunities to learn and grow, and be a steward of your own career.
