Base pay range: $20.00 / yr - $22.00 / yr

We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Sanitation Lead Technician II to join the BAR DIVISION at our Ontario, California location. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operating wastewater systems (DAF)
  • Performing routine to complex tasks related to utilities equipment, including calibration, cleaning, and adjustment of pumps, valves, and fluid levels
  • Monitoring wastewater flow through collection and treatment systems
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting solids handling processes and cleaning system equipment
  • Inspecting equipment, reading meters, and recording data
  • Scheduling solids handling as needed
  • Requesting parts and maintaining chemical inventories
  • Preparing discharge monitoring reports to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Following PPE, SOPs, and GMP standards
  • Understanding SSOPs, work instructions, and cleaning procedures
  • Working safely with chemicals like caustic and acids
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and leads to ensure timely operations
  • Preventing non-conformities related to food safety and quality
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and promoting teamwork
  • Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Reading, writing, and understanding procedures in English
  • Possessing strong communication skills and the ability to delegate tasks
  • Willingness to learn, teach, and participate in continuous improvement

Working Conditions and Physical Efforts:

  • Standing, walking, bending, and working in high or chemical environments
  • Climbing ladders and stairs, occasionally pushing and pulling
  • May require standing for 8 hours or more

Working Relationships:

  • Internal: Plant management, manufacturing, QA, R&D, warehouse, maintenance
  • External: Visitors, vendors, contractors

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of food processing equipment
  • Ability to train and develop others, with perseverance and a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication skills
