Job summary

PLB International in Boucherville, Quebec, is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Coordinator to lead the on-site sanitation team and uphold GMP/HACCP standards. You will coordinate cleaning programs, inspect processes, and collaborate with operations to ensure flawless sanitation and pest management.

The role requires 3–5 years in a similar environment, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while supporting a dynamic, food-safe workplace.

Qualifications

  • On-site leadership and ability to manage priorities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, GMP, and HACCP principles.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role; availability for occasional night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sanitation team activities and monitor daily on-site operations.
  • Ensure cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation programs follow established standards.
  • Conduct inspections, participate in GMP rounds, identify discrepancies and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Analyze trends from environmental results, equipment, swabs, and luminometer readings.
  • Investigate sanitation-related non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Maintain documentation related to sanitation activities and ensure updates.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and external suppliers to plan sanitation.
  • Act as primary contact for pest management and follow-up on visits and reports.
  • Participate in staff training and maintenance of food safety programs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the activities of the sanitation team and monitor daily operations on-site.

  • Ensure compliance with cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation programs according to established standards and procedures.

  • Conduct inspections, participate in GMP rounds, identify discrepancies, and follow up on corrective actions.

  • Contribute to analyzing trends related to environmental results, equipment, swabs, and luminometer readings.

  • Investigate sanitation-related non-conformities and deviations, and implement necessary corrective and preventive measures.

  • Ensure the availability, compliance, and updates of documentation related to sanitation activities.

  • Collaborate with operational teams, maintenance, and external suppliers to plan and support sanitation activities.

  • Act as the primary contact for pest management and ensure follow-up on visits, reports, and required actions.

  • Participate in staff training and the maintenance of food safety programs.

Requirements
