Job Title: Sandblaster/Raw Painter - Continental Days

Job Description

Join our team as a Sandblaster/Raw Painter, where you'll be responsible for sandblasting and painting tasks in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role involves working primarily with epoxy and metal parts, ensuring quality and safety standards are met throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Sandblast epoxy and metal parts for at least 75% of the day.
• Cross-trained on painting tasks, handling these duties 20% of the day when not sandblasting.
• Move barrels of sand and parts around the floor using an electric walkie for about 5% of the day.
• Prepare and maintain the blast and paint booth and PPE daily.
• Prepare objects for blasting according to procedures and instructions.
• Monitor the condition of equipment and tooling.
• Clean and prep surfaces using processes like sanding, scraping, and grinding.
• Apply paint and other materials using spray equipment (air/airless).
• Apply protective coatings to various metal material surfaces.
• Monitor extractors, drying fans, and heaters.
• Board and mask materials.
• Ensure all paint-related waste is properly labeled, stored, and disposed of.
• Maintain paint booth and associated equipment to ensure proper working condition.
• Ensure jobs meet all requirements before leaving the work cell.
• Meet or exceed established production levels.
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures.
• Inspect all work before passing it on to the next operation.
• Follow all health and safety procedures for machinery.
• Ensure waste disposal complies with Health and Safety/Environmental procedures.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing/production.
• Experience with electric pallet/walkie (no license needed).
• Comfortable wearing an air-fed suit/respirator.
• Comfortable working in an enclosed space.

Work Environment

Work within a medium-sized manufacturing company alongside 12 machine operators, 6 assemblers, and 4 other employees handling general duties. The shift schedule includes 12-hour continental days from 6 AM to 6 PM

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
