Job description

Job Title: Sandblaster/Raw Painter - Continental

This role requires a skilled individual to sandblast epoxy and metal parts, as well as apply protective coatings to various surfaces using spray equipment. The position involves cross-training on painting tasks and moving materials within the production floor.

Responsibilities
  1. Sandblast epoxy and metal parts for at least 75% of the day.
  2. Cross-trained on painting tasks for 20% of the day when sandblasting tasks are not busy.
  3. Move barrels of sand and parts using an electric walkie for 5% of the day.
  4. Prepare and maintain the blast and paint booth along with personal protective equipment daily.
  5. Prepare objects for blasting according to procedures and instructions.
  6. Monitor the condition of equipment and tooling.
  7. Clean and prep surfaces using sanding, scraping, and grinding processes.
  8. Use air/airless spray equipment to apply paint and other materials.
Essential Skills
  • 1+ year of manufacturing/production experience.
  • Experience with electric pallet/walkie (no license needed).
  • Comfortable wearing an air-fed suit/respirator.
  • Comfortable working in an enclosed space.
Work Environment

The position is within a medium-sized manufacturing company. The role requires working 12-hour continental shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM, with a schedule of 5 days on followed by 2 nights on.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50/hr.
