ABOUT OUR OPERATION

Agnico Eagle is always looking for talented team members to join our Nunavut mining operations. Meliadine is located just northwest of Rankin Inlet, a small coastal town on the shores of Hudson Bay. Commercial production began at Meliadine in mid-May 2019, and the mine officially opened at the end of June. This mine is our largest gold deposit in terms of mineral resources, and we expect to operate it for at least 14 years. The site features a power plant, processing facilities, and a complete camp complex.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Being enrolled as an apprentice with the GN is an asset. A copy of the GN apprentice registration card must be submitted with your application.
• Successful completion of the Pre-Trades Entrance Exam within the last 2 years.
• Capacity to succeed in the Pre-Trades Entrance Exam (a mock exam will be provided for those who haven't taken the exam).
• Willingness to relocate temporarily for educational purposes.
• Commitment to the apprenticeship program and willingness to work under AEM for 3-4 years for the duration of the program.
