AGAT Laboratories is currently hiring Sample Receipt Technicians to join our Environmental Logistics team. These are seasonal contracts starting around May 5th, 2025, based in Calgary. The role involves providing administrative support and assisting with basic logistics activities. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain valuable experience and mentorship from our Logistics Supervisor and team.

Note: Weekend availability (Tuesday - Saturday) is required, with an alternative shift schedule of Monday - Friday. The anticipated end date for this position is August 4th, 2025.

Responsibilities

• Ensure samples are properly entered into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and are accessible to laboratory staff promptly.
• Document and report all sample integrity issues.
• Process incoming non-sample deliveries accurately.
• Follow all safety procedures diligently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; post-secondary education in science is an asset.
• Experience in customer service or laboratory setting is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with LIMS is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Well-organized with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
