Job summary

Magris Talc is seeking a Sample Processing Technician at the Penhorwood operation, reporting to the Mine Planning Engineer. You will collect, prepare, and analyze samples, supporting quality control activities for the mine and plant laboratory.

This hands-on role requires 1-2 years of related experience, a certificate or diploma in minerals or mining engineering, or laboratory technology, and a valid GDriver’s license. Strong Excel skills and meticulous record-keeping are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in minerals or mining engineering, laboratory technology, or another related technical discipline is preferred.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of quality control practices and quality systems.
• Valid G driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and analyze mine samples during mining and drilling campaign.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory and sample preparation equipment
• Complete in-house testing and coordinate sampling results with internal teams and external laboratories
• Maintain accurate test records, quality reports, laboratory work instructions, and required documentation
• Support mine and plant quality requirements while following and promoting company health and safety procedures
• Assist with seasonal mine and mill activities and other operational priorities as required

About the Role
