Job summary

ALS is seeking a Sample Preparation Technician within the Sample Preparation Department to process client samples for analysis in our labs. You will perform ringing, sieving, crushing, and splitting under supervision, and manage ovens and logs while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50lbs and comply with PPE requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience handling laboratory samples and operation of basic lab equipment.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Good communication and safety awareness required.

Responsibilities

  • Ringing, sieving, crushing, and splitting samples under direct supervision.
  • Loading and unloading drying ovens under supervision.
  • Maintain own production logs and ensure basic lab cleanliness.
  • Assist with layout tasks and adhere to established procedures for analytical quality.
  • Observe safety regulations and use PPE as required.
