Great opportunity! The Salon Business Consultant is a sales solution specialist role, covering and growing a territory in and around Sudbury, Sault Sainte Marie, Espanola, Elliot Lake, Blind River, North Bay, Mattawa, Deep River, Pembroke, Niske Niskard, Kirkland Lake, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Timmins, Hearst, and Moosonee, Ontario, Canada.

Uncapped commission, vehicle reimbursement plan, and full benefits!

Salon/beauty industry experience highly preferred.

The Salon Business Consultant is responsible for an assigned territory of customers, focusing on growing their salons' overall sales. Responsibilities include meeting sales goals, expanding sales through new and existing customers, utilizing manufacturer education and sales resources, and actively engaging with salons, barbers, spas, schools, and licensed beauty professionals via social media.

Primary Duties:
  1. Grow the Business: Identify key accounts, develop efficient routes, assist customers with promotions, determine needs, communicate sales initiatives, respond promptly to communications, analyze accounts for support needs, conduct in-person visits, manage returns, complete assignments timely, collaborate across business functions, prospect for new customers, and manage administrative tasks diligently.
  2. Grow Team and Culture: Become a social media and digital platform expert, share knowledge, attend meetings and events, support initiatives, and foster positive change management.
  3. Grow Yourself: Pursue continuous learning, participate in business development days, utilize all learning tools, adapt to market changes, increase industry knowledge, and maintain an organized work environment.
Experience and Skills Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of () years of outside sales or beauty industry experience with a focus on consultative selling.
  • Residency within the assigned territory.
  • Knowledge of inventory control systems and visual merchandising preferred.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
  • Strong computer skills, including Outlook, PDF Expert, Oracle; experience with iPad is a plus.
  • Ability to build online communities and utilize internet tools.
  • Willingness to travel locally and attend industry events, including overnight and weekend travel.
  • Ability to work safely, drive frequently, manage time effectively, and present a professional image.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
