Story Behind the Need-
Business group: CBE Personalization - The Client Primacy & Personalization team is responsible for ideation, design, engineering, and implementation of software for the Personalization domain.
Project: Client Primacy and Personalization - Large-scale enterprise-wide project to accelerate personalization capabilities across our stack (targeted propensity-driven lists, marketing journey and sales conversion funnels).

We are seeking a Salesforce Engineer with proven expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This role will focus on designing, developing, and integrating solutions that enhance customer engagement, enable data-driven marketing, and deliver personalized experiences at scale.
You will collaborate with marketing, sales, and technology teams to deliver scalable, high-quality Salesforce solutions that align with business goals while adhering to best practices in architecture, security, and compliance.

Typical Day in Role:
  • Marketing Cloud Development & Integration:
    • Design, build, and deploy solutions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, etc.).
    • Develop and maintain AMPscript, SQL queries, and server-side JavaScript for dynamic, personalized marketing content.
    • Configure data extensions, automation workflows, and segmentation for targeted campaigns.
    • Integrate Marketing Cloud with core Salesforce CRM and third-party systems for synchronized customer data.
  • Platform Integration & Data Management:
    • Build APIs and integrations to exchange data between Salesforce clouds, marketing platforms, and enterprise systems.
    • Ensure data accuracy, synchronization, and compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Quality & Governance:
    • Follow Salesforce development best practices (naming conventions, code reviews, documentation).
    • Maintain a secure, scalable, and high-performance environment.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
  • 10+ years of development experience
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience including experience with Salesforce development tools (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components) and Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP)
  • 2+ years’ experience with Marketing Cloud including experience with Marketing Cloud Studios and Builders, AMPscript, SQL, and automation workflows
  • Recent hands-on experience with data modeling, segmentation, and customer journey orchestration.
  • Recent hands-on experience with integrating Salesforce with enterprise applications and data sources.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist and/or Developer certification.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools for Salesforce (Gearset, Copado, etc.).
  • Experience in marketing automation or CRM development in a large-scale environment.
Soft Skills Required:
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment balancing multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality deliverables.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field (computer engineering computer science)
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist and/or Developer certification.
