The Salesforce Solutions Architect is responsible for architecture, design, and development on the Salesforce platform for complex business and technology initiatives. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of Salesforce applications, providing thought leadership, ensuring architecture governance, and developing application roadmaps. The architect is expected to assist the team in solving production issues, support investigations, and advocate for efficiency and continual improvement as part of modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze and estimate effort for new scope and requirements.
2. Architect, design, and develop solutions on the Salesforce platform for multiple complex initiatives, ensuring application ecosystem stability.
3. Stay updated on modern technologies and best practices; recommend new technologies and processes.
4. Manage admin functions and act as the Subject Matter Expert for the Salesforce platform.
5. Support business teams by focusing on configuration over customization.
6. Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes using defect tracking tools.
7. Collaborate with product owners and test engineers to support QA, review test plans, and improve test automation.
8. Provide technical oversight and mentorship to Salesforce engineers, ensuring quality deliverables.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Minimum 5 years of Salesforce Architecture experience and over 10 years in enterprise platforms.
2. 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including solution design, configuration, and development in Apex.
3. Deep understanding of Salesforce features, including Apex, Lightning components, and integration patterns.
4. Strong knowledge of Web Services, databases, and security practices.
5. Experience integrating Salesforce with other cloud applications via REST, SOAP API, Talend, Informatica.
6. Knowledge of deployment processes and release pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket/Git).
7. Understanding of packaged deployments, Metadata API, and Ant.
8. Excellent communication skills.
9. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
10. At least one Salesforce Architect certification (Application or System Architect).
11. Preferred: Experience with Financial Services Cloud and Distributed Marketing.
12. Ability to work in cross-functional teams and experience with agile methodologies like SCRUM/Kanban.
