The Role

Medcan seeks an experienced Salesforce Administrator to join a growing Digital Transformation and Innovation team. As a key member of the team, you’ll be responsible for assisting our 300+ Salesforce user base as well as contributing to our feature release cycle.

The Accountabilities

The Salesforce Administrator will support the day-to-day running of the business and enhancements within Salesforce, which includes interacting with teams across the organization.

This includes:

  • Manage users, profiles, roles and permission sets in Salesforce
  • Customize fields, page layouts, record types, reports and dashboards
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and processes
  • Assist in data import/export/updates, system customization
  • Provide day to day end user support via ServiceNow
  • Assist with training end users on the use of Salesforce
  • Maintain data and system security and integrity in Salesforce
  • Create training and user documentation, and maintain ongoing documentation processes as business needs evolve or features are added
  • Troubleshoot Salesforce issues and bugs and escalate as needed for resolution and fix
  • Meet with business stakeholders to understand business needs and challenges, and recommend new SF features and enhancements to the product owner
  • Work with the Salesforce delivery team to ensure your changes are updated in our code repo, and are approved before release

The Requirements

  • 2+ years in a Salesforce Administrator role
  • Salesforce Admin Certification
  • Experience with Salesforce object, layouts, validation rules, permissions, roles, reports, dashboards, and logical formulas
  • Experience with APEX, Apex triggers, Visualforce, Java, SQL, SOQL, and lighting flows
  • Familiarity with deployment tools like Change Sets, Salesforce DX, or Gearset.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like Jira or Azure.
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance standards (especially relevant in healthcare settings).
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Advanced experience with Service Cloud and/or Health Cloud preferred. Experience with Omnichannel and Salesforce Shield a major asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and cross functionally
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Has the ability to solve problems, resolve issues, and escalate when assistance is required all within a timely manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • You're good at explaining complex, technology syntax in layman’s terms
  • You are a critical thinker and adapt quickly to change

This position is full-time and is scheduled primarily during business hours Monday through Friday with occasional evenings or early mornings to support deployment and post-deployment activities.
