Job description

We are Waterloo Region's leader in hospitality providing the very best in family entertainment. With amenities ranging from the Big Splash Water Park, FunWorx Indoor Playland and the Bingemans Camping Resort, we are the ticket for exceptional fun! In the fall, we turn into Canada’s most terrifying haunted attraction- Screampark. We are seeking a Sales/Wedding Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing all key steps in guest satisfaction, including, but not limited to BEO and booking confirmations, special guest needs, event vendor communications, set-up confirmations, dining, rate and favours, deposits and final payment confirmation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and process all group sales inquiries, confirmations to final invoicing.
  • Prospect and identify new business via phone, email, networking.
  • Proactively monitor network to identify potential clients and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a positive relationship with clients with a key understanding of the client’s needs.
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for clients.
  • Administration of event bookings, entering data into various software to produce orders and contracts.
  • Communicate to various departments to ensure that the booking is executed effectively.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Oversee all communications between the sales team and the operations departments, including reporting, change notices, balancing and sheet run.
  • Ensuring all permits are in place for liquor license, extensions, and tents.
  • Understanding and executing a Day-of Timeline and its catering + planning inclusions.
  • May be required to attend events, ensuring the event is running smoothly.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in Sales/Retail/Customer Service preferred.
  • Previous hospitality experience is an asset.
  • Ontario Drivers License Class G required.
  • Smart Serve Certification required, or willing to obtain.
  • Excellent in time management and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge and proficient in MS Office Applications.
  • Attention to detail.

Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.
