About this opportunity

As the Sales Training Manager (Canada), you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of sales training programs that effectively support the development needs of Align Technology’s Canada commercial team. Training content includes Invisalign and iTero product and industry knowledge, digital workflows for restorative and orthodontic procedures, and selling skills. You will work closely with Canada Sales & Marketing Leadership to assess training needs of the commercial teams and collaborate with the Sales Training Operations team to project manage the execution. In this role, you will… Design and drive a state of the art, agile training curriculum for the Align product portfolio, reducing the speed to proficiency for Align’s Canadian commercial sales teams. Collaborate with Sales Training’s operations team to develop a blend of virtual and instructor led training that can be accessed by internal and external sales teams. Collaborate with Sales Training partners across global regions to maximize resource efficiency and to leverage global best-practices. Facilitate introductory and ongoing Invisalign and iTero training to Canadian commercial teams based on the required proficiency for their role. Work closely with the Invisalign and iTero Marketing Team to develop effective training for new sales tools and product launches in Canada. Directs ongoing sales force training requirements and objectives for the Canadian sales teams. Ensures timely updates to course curricula to reflect changes in product offerings and Canada market demands. Work with Invisalign and iTero Sales & Marketing Management to manage the creation of training programs for Canada regional and national sales meetings. Collaborate with the Sales Training Operations team to create an evaluation strategy that monitors and measure training effectiveness. Co-travel with Align’s commercial teams (Invisalign, iTero, Special Markets) to become an expert in the Align Digital Platform Continuously analyze Canada sales team performance to evaluate effectiveness of training and design follow-up programs as needed. Manage the implementation, delivery, and consistency of execution (TTT Certifications, etc.) for training programs led by the field-based sales training teams Serves as subject matter expert related to sales training best practices in the digital orthodontic / dental industry and incorporates into Canada sales training strategies and programs at Align. Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; advanced degree in science or business preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of recent sales experience; Sales Training experience preferred.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical/medical sales training preferred.
  • Exceptional English oral and written communication with French skills considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership, ability to motivate others, and influence without authority.
  • Creative, self-motivated, team player, customer-focused; customer-centric communication skills.
  • Proactive with sharing and developing new ideas; self-starter with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in the Toronto office and travel up to 50%, including overnight travel within Canada and the US.
