Reporting to the Vice President of Sales Operations, the Sales Support Representative will support the Western Canada account management team by coordinating customer tenders, managing opportunities in our SRM tool, reviewing customer terms & conditions with legal and insurers, and interacting with customers and factories to resolve order issues.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Serve as the primary interface between customers and internal sales teams.
  • Support the promotion and sale of products and services to meet regional sales objectives.
  • Coordinate RFQs and bids with Business Lines for timely and accurate submissions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, including requests for information, quotations, and order updates.
  • Identify high-potential leads and escalate to Sales Directors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to developing tools and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide market feedback on pricing and competitor activity.
  • Manage customer satisfaction proactively and resolve issues.
  • Participate in industrial sales meetings and initiatives.
  • Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility and caring for colleagues and the business.
  • 2–5 years of customer service experience.
  • Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Technical degree in electrical engineering or equivalent (preferred).
  • Sales experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills in English; French is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Customer-focused with strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience with Salesforce (SFDC) is an asset.
