What is the opportunity?

As a Sales Support Representative, Life Insurance, you will act as a point of contact with brokers of Life Insurance policies. You will handle each broker’s inquiry with high priority to ensure they receive fast and effective service. Your role will involve providing superior sales support and service to brokers to achieve regional sales targets and contribute to Sales Consultant’s action plans.

What will you do?

  • Initiate and respond to calls from producers, providing product & administrative support, education, and training on quotations, contracting, application processes, product information, and RBC systems.
  • Manage all requirements of the new business process from quoting to application submission, and assist Sales Consultants with analyzing business blocks and identifying opportunities for additional premiums.
  • Provide marketing support to Senior Sales Consultants, assisting with revenue generation activities specific to each MGA strategy.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and determine appropriate actions for complex issues.
  • Establish relationships with key staff of brokers, assist in new producer setup, including proactive calling and follow-up.
  • Work closely with internal partners to provide seamless service to brokers.
  • Participate in call campaigns as they arise.
  • Train brokers and their teams on our systems and tools to support their sales efforts.

Must-have

  • Bilingual in English and French, as you will serve clients and collaborate with RBC partners across Canada.
  • High-level written skills in both French and English.
  • Professional customer service skills with a talent for listening, rapport-building, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work well independently and with a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational skills, initiative, and proactivity.
  • Strong negotiation, impact, influence, and analytical thinking skills.

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge or experience in the Insurance industry and/or Life Insurance.
  • LLQP License is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite and quick learner of new systems.
