Job summary

Noramco is seeking a Sales Support professional in Calgary to deliver superb customer service while supporting daily sales and purchasing tasks. You will manage inquiries, build relationships with customers and vendors, and assist with invoicing, deposits, and inventory controls.

The role emphasizes fast-paced teamwork, initiative, and ongoing product knowledge development within our energy-transformation network in Canada.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and people skills with initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Interest in sales duties and inventory management is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/French is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service via telephone, email, and other communications.
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly with team support as needed.
  • Develop professional relationships with customers and vendors per manager criteria.
  • Resolve customer service issues in a timely manner and verify commitments.
  • Proactively suggest related products and focus items to customers.
  • Assist with purchasing and inventory management when required.
  • Inform relevant team members of customer feedback on price, products, or services.
  • Handle administrative tasks for the Business Centre (invoicing, deposits, payables, etc.).
  • Pursue ongoing product knowledge through available training.

Sales Support Status: Regular, Location: Calgary, Alberta Job Description This is a multi-function role in a Business Centre. Reporting to the Business Centre Manager, the person in the Sales Support role should be a dynamic self-motivated individual ready to work in a fast-paced team environment and capable of providing superior customer service to our valued customers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide superior customer service communication via telephone, email and/or other communication by promptly and professionally assisting with customers' needs
  • Respond to customers' inquiries in a timely manner, with assistance from other team members if needed
  • Develops a professional relationship with customers and/or vendors as per criteria establishes by the Manager
  • Takes necessary action to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner
  • follows up and verifies commitments are met afterwards
  • Proactively suggest associated and/or alternate products as needed
  • Promotes focus product items
  • Quickly informs the appropriate person (Business Centre Manager, Outside Sales Representatives) of customer feedback with regards to price, products, services, etc.
  • Assist with other administration duties required for the successful running of the Business Centre on a 'as needed' basis, (ex: receive and sort mail, prepare deposits, account payables, freight claims, processing paperwork for invoicing, cash reconciliation and other assigned tasks)
  • Takes a proactive approach to enhancing their technical knowledge through available training on various product lines and learning opportunities
  • Support in other tasks as needed (purchasing / inventory management)
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Grade 12 minimum completed
  • Ideally 1-2 years of related experience
  • Strong communication and people skills, initiative
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, OUTLOOK)
  • Interest and capability in performing sales duties and purchasing / inventory management functions as needed
  • Good knowledge of English and/or French written and spoken
  • Strong ability and desire to develop and grow skills
