Responsibilities


The Retail Supervisor assists the Retail Manager with daily operations of the Rock Shop, ensuring guest satisfaction, contributing to business growth, and maintaining standards.

  1. Motivate employees daily with a positive attitude and open communication; provide verbal recognition, direction, and support.
  2. Communicate with managers to evaluate work procedures, review standards, and identify efficiency improvements.
  3. Train and empower employees to exercise good judgment in guest service, adhering to training standards.
  4. Monitor and coach employees on performance, compliance, and workload.
  5. Open & close the retail store.
  6. Assess condition of fixtures and physical aspects of the Rock Shop; address minor equipment issues or call maintenance.
  7. Inspect product levels and storage areas to ensure adequate stock and proper storage.
  8. Organize visual merchandise displays to increase foot traffic and sales.
  9. Supervise employees during stock, guest assistance, and sales to ensure policy adherence and positive guest experiences.
  10. Contribute to financial growth by driving sales, managing expenses, and implementing profitability plans.
  11. Assist in training and retaining sales staff to deliver excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
  12. Innovate marketing strategies to promote new programs and increase sales and profits.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Experience, Education, and Certifications

  • Proven supervisory success in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to advance the business financially while focusing on human capital.
  • Ability to make high-quality, complex decisions.
  • Relevant standard education required.

Skills

  • Strong leadership combined with technical skills to drive success.
  • Adherence to health, safety, and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  • Ability to understand and use technical/professional language to communicate complex ideas.
  • Effective presentation skills for one-on-one and small group settings.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to move throughout the workplace (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods.
  • Sitting for long durations.
  • Repetitive arm, hand, and wrist movements.
  • Verbal communication and sound perception.
