Objectives :
- Develop customer relationship skills by working with and observing interactions between Territory Managers (TMs) and growers.
- Obtain experience with presentation skills and working in a team environment.
- Gain knowledge of regional crops and UPL's product portfolio.
- Enjoy a positive summer experience to enhance future skills as a qualified candidate for full-time employment with UPL.
Required Qualifications :
- Currently pursuing an Agriculture-related Bachelor's degree or Agriculture diploma from an accredited program; Agri-business or Agronomy major preferred.
- Completion of at least the 2nd year of study is desired.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in computer use (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Strong work ethic and high motivation.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills / experience are desired.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions independently.
- Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
- Basic knowledge of farming practices.
- An agriculture / agronomy background is preferred.
Job Duties :
- Join sales representatives on sales calls with key retailers and farm customers.
- Work independently to assist sales representatives in their territories.
- Build interpersonal and communication skills while working closely with TMs and customers.
- Assist in managing demo plots where product data is collected, analyzed, and summarized.
- Contribute to social media content creation.
- Maintain and observe safe working and driving conditions.
