About the Role

We're seeking a Sales Specialist to support and drive business growth across Western Canada. In this role, you’ll combine your technical expertise and sales acumen to promote Cytek’s innovative portfolio—including instruments, reagents, and services—while building strong customer relationships and ensuring a top-tier client experience.

What You’ll Do

Sales & Business Growth

  • Identify, engage, and close new opportunities within academic, clinical research, and biopharma labs
  • Meet and exceed sales targets through strategic prospecting and consultative selling
  • Grow and nurture relationships with existing customers to uncover new opportunities

Technical Expertise & Support

  • Deliver compelling product demos and technical presentations showcasing the power of Cytek’s spectral technology
  • Support customers post-sale with follow-ups, training coordination, and collaboration with service and applications teams

Territory Management

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for your region to maximize growth
  • Track all sales activities and customer interactions using CRM tools for pipeline visibility and planning

Collaboration & Industry Representation

  • Partner closely with Field Application Scientists, Engineers, and Marketing to ensure seamless customer experiences
  • Represent Cytek at key industry conferences, trade shows, and regional events—before, during, and after the show

Market Insights & Reporting

  • Stay ahead of trends, competitors, and customer feedback to inform strategy
  • Report regularly to management with insights that drive smarter decision-making

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in flow cytometry; capital equipment sales experience is a plus
  • Proven success managing a territory and consistently hitting or exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to explain complex scientific concepts with clarity and confidence
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel 50–75% of the time

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods during events and demos
  • Must be able to travel by air, train, and rental car as needed
