About the role:
FIS Capital Markets is looking for a Canadian-based Sales Solution Consultant (aka PreSales) with a securities processing background. You'll be part of an established team of successful consultants to support our latest acquisition. You'll support our Solution Engineering Group to help our clients/prospects and sales teams uncover requirements and recommend solutions. You will be supporting Sales by performing in-depth reviews of the issues our clients/prospects have and recommend FIS solutions. Each consultant is highly trained in their product sets & presentation skills and is supported to grow their industry subject matter expertise.

What you will be doing:

  • Consulting with our clients/prospects to uncover and identify functionality gaps that FIS can help a firm overcome.
  • Determine which solutions best fit clients' needs and how they would utilize them to support and overcome challenges.
  • Support our internal stakeholders and partners with industry insights, account profiling, and go-to-market ideas that monetize your solution.
  • You will always have something different to do! This includes, but is not limited to; RFP/RFI responses, solutions demonstrations, presentations, account profiling with our Sales partners to help them generate pipeline opportunities, go-to-market material generation (including both written and video), trade show attendance, internal training of our Sales Teams.

What you bring:

  • A desire to be part of our fast-paced Sales organization as a Sales Solution Consultant
  • Securities processing experience either as a vendor or user in the Canadian market
  • Required skills include, but are not limited to:
    • Understanding the unique needs of the Canadian landscape of broker-dealers
    • Familiar with brokerage operations and securities processing
    • Ability to present complex ideas
    • Desire to learn
    • Ability to travel 40% of the time
    • Work as part of a team, while being able to work from home
    • Utilize standard productivity tools like Microsoft Office

Added bonus if you have:

  • We will train you and hone your presentation and demonstration skills. But it would be a bonus if you have done either.
  • Ability to speak and write in French Canadian as the primary market will be Canada
  • A dislike for “micro-management”. We want independently motivated associates that want to work as part of a team
  • Worked with new presentation tools such as advanced video and bot-like applications that augment standard presentations
