Job summary

Encore Market Engagement is seeking a part-time Sales Representative for the Victoria territory. You will identify business opportunities, drive sales, and manage merchandising programs for consumer brands within retail channels.

You will build strong retailer relationships, execute promotions, and use consultative selling to secure orders while working 15 hours per week. A reliable vehicle and home internet are desired assets for success.

Responsibilities

• Represent Encore and its brands professionally to retail customers
• Set territory goals with Manager and develop strategies to meet targets
• Build strong retailer relationships and become trusted advisor
• Introduce new products and promotional initiatives
• Use consultative selling to secure orders and bookings
• Close distribution gaps and ensure shelf tags align with listings
• Support product availability through merchandising and stock checks
• Negotiate space for displays and ensure standards are met
• Use sales tools and reports to identify opportunities and growth
• Identify regional sales trends to boost in-store performance
• Provide timely feedback on retail conditions and opportunities
• Perform other duties as required

The Opportunity: SALES REPRESENTATIVE – VICTORIA TERRITORY

Territory: Victoria | Compensation: $19–$22/hour | Part Time: 15 hours/week

Position Summary:

Your role is to identify business development opportunities and drive sales within an assigned geographical territory. Representing a portfolio of consumer packaged goods brands, you will build strong retail relationships, improve product availability and visibility, and execute sales and merchandising initiatives that support business objectives.
This role combines sales, relationship management and hands-on merchandising. It requires flexibility to work different days between Monday and Friday, along with the ability to stand for extended periods and lift and move products and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.

What You'll Be Doing Every Day:

• Represent Encore and the brands you support professionally, providing retail customers with exceptional service.
• Work with your Manager to establish territory goals aligned with business objectives and develop strategies to meet or exceed targets.
• Build strong customer relationships and become a trusted advisor to your retail accounts.
• Introduce new products and promotional initiatives into the market.
• Use consultative selling skills to secure orders, account bookings and promotional allocations.
• Close distribution gaps by ensuring products and shelf tags align with retailer listings and store planograms.
• Support product availability by merchandising products, reviewing inventory levels and checking order status.
• Negotiate space for and build impactful displays that maximize product visibility and shopper engagement, while ensuring existing displays meet agreed-upon standards.
• Use sales tools and reporting to identify opportunities, address gaps, improve distribution, strengthen underperforming categories and drive profitable sales growth within your territory.
• Identify and leverage regional sales trends to maximize in-store performance.
• Provide timely feedback and insights on retail conditions, opportunities and issues.
• Perform other duties as required.

Your Experience:

• Previous sales experience, ideally including 1–3 years of territory sales and merchandising experience in the consumer packaged goods industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong relationship-building, selling and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with effective planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to influence others and support change.
• Strong personal drive, a positive attitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, plan strategically and work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
