Job description

Under the authority of the National Sales Manager, Retail and Residential, the Sales Representative is responsible for the sale of our products and providing technical support to our retail customers at the store level.

  1. Meet with retail stores to present and support sales of our products.
  2. Monitor store performance and suggest adjustments to product offerings and promotional activities.
  3. Ensure proper display and stock of our products in stores.
  4. Benchmark Sika products against competitors and report findings to the National Sales Manager.
  5. Provide in-store training for sales associates and consumers as needed.
  6. Respond to customer complaints.
  7. Perform other related tasks while adhering to Sika Canada Inc.'s quality assurance procedures.

The performance evaluation of the Sales Representative is based on:

  • Achievement of predefined financial and personal objectives.
  • Annual performance review.
  • Internal audits.
Your expertise - Our strength
  • University or college degree in business or technical field, or equivalent experience in sales and construction (minimum 5 years).
  • Proven success in developing and growing sales territories.
  • Computer literacy with willingness to upgrade skills.
  • Completion of Sika Canada Inc.'s training on all operational procedures (SMS, environment, health and safety).
  • Bilingual in French and English; spoken and written, with French not essential outside Quebec.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize emergencies.
  • Teamwork aptitude.
  • Personal motivation and leadership qualities.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to the Prairies, including Manitoba and Saskatchewan, as required.
