Job Title: Sales Representative, Partnerships & Advertising

Location: Remote/Field-Based

Position Type:100% commission-based with bonus incentives

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a passionate and results-driven Sales Representative to join our small team. This commission-based role is ideal for a motivated self-starter or a semi-retired, seasoned rep who believes in Harrowsmith’s mission and knows how to connect that vision with advertisers who share our values. You’ll be responsible for growing advertising and partnership revenue across our print, digital, and special project platforms.

This role is a great fit if you love storytelling and know how to turn a good pitch into a lasting client relationship.

What You’ll Do:

  • Grow a Client-base with Purpose: Build on existing accounts while actively seeking out new clients.
  • Craft Meaningful Partnerships: Develop thoughtful advertising and custom content packages that speak to our readers’ values and deliver results for clients across print, digital, newsletters, and special issues.
  • Be a Trusted Advisor: Work with clients to understand their goals and show how Harrowsmith’s platforms can help meet them—authentically, creatively and successfully.
  • Hit Revenue Goals: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets while keeping the Harrowsmith ethos at the core of everything you do.
  • Be Creative: You think big and outside the box and leverage new market trends to introduce innovative ideas that focus on our key pillars.
  • Collaborate and Report: Communicate regularly with our editorial and publishing team and report on your progress and pipeline.

Who You Are:

  • You’ve got 3+ years of experience in advertising media sales, real estate or marketing and have a strong record of success.
  • You’re excited about farm-to-table cooking, gardening and spending time outdoors, DIY culture, ecotourism, and/or environmental advocacy.
  • You’re a relationship-builder with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • You can work independently, stay organized, and are motivated by commission-based earnings.
  • You’re tech-savvy, ideally with experience using cloud-based tools like Google Workspace.

Compensation:
