Summary:

As an Industrial Sales Rep, you will plan, promote, develop, and execute sales and rentals of company products in an assigned territory. You will promote market awareness of Rain for Rent products and services, aiming to increase volume of new and repeat customer business annually. You will represent the company honestly and fairly, maintaining good public relations with customers, competitors, and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute a sales and operational plan to achieve 35% market share in the region.
  • Conduct pricing and quoting to meet profit objectives.
  • Meet or exceed rental sales and revenue targets.
  • Expand relationships with top ten customers through regular face-to-face sales calls.
  • Promote and secure new and repeat business for sales and rentals.
  • Participate in business development activities such as Brown Bags, Trade Shows, and Industry Associations.
  • Attend industry events to stay updated on market trends.
  • Travel within the territory to visit customers while managing expenses.
  • Target top 10 competitors’ accounts and develop strategies to win their business.
  • Demonstrate thorough product knowledge, including applications, pricing, and policies.
  • Accurately detail quotes and prepare written orders, estimating delivery schedules.
  • Promote full-service solutions including design, installation, and operation.
  • Coordinate with branch personnel regarding product availability and delivery.
  • Prepare reports and maintain customer database using software.
  • Foster cooperation and communication within the team.
  • Participate actively in the company’s safety culture.
  • Adhere to and practice the company's value proposition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
