Position Description
As our client’s HVAC Sales Representative, you will drive growth in residential and light commercial product sales throughout British Columbia. Your role involves building and nurturing relationships with partners such as dealers, builders, developers, property managers, consulting engineers, contractors, and utility companies. Your focus will be on connecting with people, expanding market reach, and increasing sales.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with builders, developers, realtors, utilities, and other stakeholders to boost sales.
- Promote and expand the regional market for residential and light commercial plans and specifications.
- Design and deliver product application and sales training to dealers’ sales teams to raise awareness of heat pump technology.
- Collaborate with the sales team and contractors to meet regional sales goals.
- Train builder sales personnel and realtors to market products effectively at sales and industry events.
- Assist in developing sales strategies and programs for the new construction market.
- Engage in sales planning, reporting, and participate in industry groups and events.
- Provide feedback on market trends and customer needs.
- Prepare monthly sales reports.
Experience
- 5+ years engaging with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, and property managers.
- 5+ years working with builders and residential contractors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or technical trade qualification in a related field (preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of heating and air-conditioning systems; VRF technology experience is an asset.
- Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.
- Effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated team player capable of working independently.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Excellent public speaking skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or technical trade qualification in a related field (preferred).
