Sales Representative - Greater Edmonton and Northern Alberta area (BP Canada)

To support this growth, BP Canada has an exciting career opportunity for a Sales Representative in the Greater Edmonton and Northern Alberta area.

WHAT’S THE JOB?

You will develop long-term relationships with customers and oversee sales within your territory. Your role involves satisfying customer needs, responding promptly to queries, and delivering a positive customer experience. You should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, be customer service-oriented, and capable of growing our business through successful, long-term client relationships.

Here’s what you’ll be responsible for in this role
  • Develop and maintain solid partnership relations with customers in the territory
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities
  • Present and manage marketing programs in your territory
  • Implement sales and marketing programs targeting Roofers, Builders, and Retailers
  • Participate in trade shows and in-store clinics
  • Conduct product training and sales seminars
  • Collaborate with Distributors
  • Manage territory expenses and sales budgets
  • Conduct inspections and follow-up on claims
  • Act as liaison between warranty services and customers
  • Maintain up-to-date customer profiles
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

To be successful, you should have:

  • Post-secondary education in business or equivalent experience
  • +3 years’ experience in manufacturing, retail, or distribution
  • Proven sales experience in building materials, hard goods, or construction industries
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • High initiative and multitasking ability
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Own a vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel extensively within the territory
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google, and internal software systems
