Summary

The Sales Representative plays a key role within Lexum’s Business Development team. Their main mission is to promote Lexum’s technological solutions to potential clients (outside sales) to expand the reach and impact of the company’s products and services in the legal sector.

Through a consultative approach, the Sales Representative identifies new business opportunities, develops strong and lasting relationships with prospects, and actively contributes to achieving Lexum’s growth objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new potential clients among organizations involved in producing and managing legal information (courts and tribunals, legislative assemblies, agencies and ministries, professional associations, law firms, unions, etc.) across Canada, the United States, and internationally.
  • Present and promote Lexum’s products and services during client meetings and online presentations.
  • Prepare sales proposals tailored to client needs and negotiate sales terms and conditions.
  • Meet and exceed the company’s sales objectives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales initiatives with promotional campaigns.
  • Represent Lexum at conferences, trade shows, and other events.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B and/or B2G sales, ideally in the technology or services sector.
  • Experience in the legal field is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of CRM tools and ability to track sales performance indicators.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with advanced proficiency in English (required for client and stakeholder communications primarily outside Quebec) and intermediate proficiency in French (for internal communications at Lexum).
  • Ability to travel occasionally for business (approximately between 5 and 10 trips of less than one week per year).
