The Role:

As a Sales & Customer Relations expert, you'll represent Bluewater Energy by engaging clients with a consultative approach, identifying their energy needs, and delivering tailored, high-impact solutions. You will coordinate project details, manage documentation, and support communication between clients, crews, and the sales manager, ensuring smooth delivery and outstanding service from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, nurture, and close new business
  • Organize materials
  • Assist with planning and execution efforts
  • Create, organize, and submit various documentation
  • Provide customer service

A Day in the Life:

  • Research and identify potential leads using CRM systems, online databases, and other resources
  • Prospect and qualify high-potential homeowners and commercial clients
  • Present tailored energy solutions using a consultative sales approach
  • Prepare and deliver professional proposals
  • Navigate complex negotiations to secure contracts; cold-call potential clients to generate new sales opportunities
  • Handle inbound sales calls and inquiries from potential clients
  • Prepare quotations and project proposals in a timely manner
  • Conduct project presentations via in-person, phone, or video calls
  • Respond to client questions, handle objections, and provide clarifications
  • Close sales and meet quarterly and annual sales targets

Client Management:

  • Maintain regular contact with the sales pipeline to move leads through the sales cycle
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives

CRM and Database Management:

  • Update and manage all sales activities, notes, and data in CRM software
  • Track and report on sales metrics daily, weekly, and monthly
  • Ensure all customer communication is logged and records are current
  • Coordinate with team members to facilitate and support selling efforts
  • Work closely with design, operations, and install teams for seamless project delivery
  • Identify best practices to improve sales performance
  • Collaborate with technical teams on project/product-related queries
  • Share client feedback and market insights with leadership and product teams

Product Knowledge:

  • Stay updated on product features, benefits, and pricing
  • Attend training sessions and workshops for deeper understanding
  • Relay customer feedback for product improvements
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback
  • Upsell or cross-sell services/products when appropriate

Reporting:

  • Prepare and present sales reports regularly
  • Analyze sales trends to strategize future efforts

Professional Development:

  • Attend sales training programs and webinars
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitors

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Sales, Business Development, or Customer Relations
  • At least 3 years of high-performance sales experience (renewables, home improvement, construction, or related industries preferred)
  • Proficiency in Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be comfortable using CRM software
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in quoting, proposal development, and objection handling
