The Sales Representative is responsible for sales, marketing, and strategy development in the Greater Calgary Area. The role involves achieving sales objectives, expanding the customer base, driving revenue, and ensuring high-quality customer service. Responsibilities include project/bid quoting, customer relations, project management, quality control, logistics, and market intelligence collection.
Identify customer needs, develop sales opportunities, communicate product value, build relationships, create quotes, follow up on bids, and manage pricing and supply details.
Monitor competitor activity, assess product quality, and recommend actions.
Track construction activity, identify opportunities, monitor supply issues, and represent Lafarge in industry committees.
Coordinate with other product lines for effective market and customer management.
Handle customer complaints, collaborate with Customer Service, and work with internal teams.
Generate invoices using APEX/SAP, manage quotations, resolve errors, and prepare reports.
Manage customer account aging and support collection activities.
Education: University Degree
Preferred Field of Study: Business or Engineering
Work Experience: 3-5 years in construction materials sales
Travel: 15%
Strong customer focus, excellent communication, results-oriented, detail-oriented, with problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficient in computer systems. Adherence to safety protocols, including PPE use.
