Job description

We are looking for a multi-faceted Sales & Reception Coordinator who will support the continued success of our Ottawa area HearCANADA clinics. This is a permanent full-time position onsite at our clinics in Ottawa proper with support being provided at a few key centres based on volumes, including Stitsville, Nepean, TOH, and Vanier . The successful candidate will be based at their nearest clinic and will be compensated for the difference in mileage when traveling to other clinics. This opportunity would be a great career move for someone with strong administration/customer service skills. Based on the nature of the role, a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required.

Key Position Information

  • $21 - $24 per hour starting compensation based on experience + eligibility to participate in our bonus program
  • 8:30 - 4:30 pm working hours Monday to Friday
  • Onsite position at our clinic with coverage being provided at other nearby clinics (mileage paid)

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Act as a front-line point of contact for clients attending appointments or walk-in visits to our clinic
  • Balancing schedules for clinicians and maintaining systems and physical files with accurate patient information and appointment specifics
  • Participating in some community events on behalf of HearCANADA to promote our services as Canada's number one choice for hearing care
  • Processing payments (cash, card, insurance), including some third-party billing
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Assisting clinicians with hearing product sales
  • Helping with general hearing aid care/maintenance and sterilization of equipment within the clinic

What We Are Looking For

  • Completion of high school diploma or equivalency; post-secondary education or courses in marketing, business, or healthcare would be an asset, though not required
  • Prior experience in customer service, administration, and retail/b2c sales
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license is required as localized travel will be required for events and coverage at other clinics (mileage paid)
  • An energetic, self-driven person who is excited about business development and community partnerships/marketing
  • Experience in event planning, lead generation, business development a strong asset
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to establish and build relationships with colleagues, coworkers, and community partners
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and MS Office
  • Bilingualism in French would be a definite asset
