Job description

As a Sales & Project Manager, you grow sales, build client relationships and manage textile projects across Ontario and Canada’s East Coast.

Imagine spending your working days in a company that breathes creativity. One that goes all out to bring to life the artistic ideas of event & entertainment professionals worldwide. An international group with headquarters in Belgium that still feels like a family.

With ShowTex fully expanding in North America, with offices in Montreal and New York, we are excited to welcome you to be part of our Canadian team, representing ShowTex in Ontario and the East Coast of Canada.

Welcome to ShowTex!

Do you know those drapes that define a theatre? Or the scenic fabrics that create a mood on stage? That's what we do and so much more. Event decoration, trade show displays, fabric reveal systems…? Yup, that too.

As a worldwide leader in inventing, producing and installing highly innovative, flame-retardant textiles and suspension systems, we gladly spend our days tackling the most creative challenges in set building, stage and stand design. You can find ShowTex offices in Europe, the Middle East, North America, South Africa, Asia and Australia, but your home base is located in Toronto, Canada.

NOW HERE'S YOUR DREAM JOB
DEVELOPMENT

Now roll up those sleeves, it’s time for some groundwork. By setting up prospection meetings and participating in trade shows or events, you will get to know the market, competitors and trends like no other. The great organizer in you will, however, do proper research and planning first, before attending them, as you know preparation is key.

There's a bigger picture though: as an ambitious business developer, you'll obviously want to increase sales volumes where possible and are always on the lookout for finding new market potential.

And again, you’re not in this by yourself. Together with your colleagues, you love developing strategies to approach changes and trends in the industry. We all want to grow our client portfolio after all.

SALES

Commercial drive? Check! No doubt your focus is proactive sales because that’s what makes you tick. You love creative problem solving and finding the best solution for your clients, nursing them with the right samples or marketing material and calculate feasible price estimates. Customer satisfaction is always the goal. And as we’re never too cool to pick each other’s brain around here, you will consult colleagues and other departments along the way.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

You love the thrill of managing a challenging project from A to Z. On-site meetings, surveys and measurements as well as briefing your colleagues of production, transport and installation. You know the drill. Obviously, you are available from start to finish, even during the event if needed, and all along the way you never forget to communicate with your clients. Even after the sale, because they will be so keen to tell you all of their feedback! And you would never miss a chance to optimize your and our way of working.

CURIOUS HOW WE SEE YOU?
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

No doubt your communication skills ensure you can speak and write English fluently.

Having prior experience in a similar field or role is a plus but not a requirement. We will teach you everything and help you become a true ShowTex specialist. If you already have a network, fantastic! If not, we’ll build one together. Your enthusiasm and willingness to learn make you a valuable partner in ShowTex's expansion in the Ontario region and along the East Coast of Canada.

PERSONALITY AND SKILLS
  • Great communication, organizational and negotiation skills, driven by a strong commercial insight.
  • Quality-oriented problem-solver with technical knowledge, who is resourceful and fast-paced.
  • Always maintains an optimistic and hands-on mentality, even in stressful situations.
  • Able to autonomously organize and coordinate a project, meeting the deadline set
  • Good budget control skills and capable of accurate administrative work
  • Driven, eager to learn and ready to pass on knowledge
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

ShowTex is not just an ordinary company. We never say "impossible" and will always team up to find the best solution to just do it. This mindset has kept us at the top of a very competitive industry for over 40 years.

And what about you? You can help to shape this unique story by becoming part of a motivated and growing team at the center of the action.

But there's more: How about flexibility & a healthy work/life balance, having plenty of room for personal growth, training opportunities, travelling and competitive compensation with attractive extras. Sounds good, right?

The cherry on the pie? Without a doubt the creative industry we’re in and the amazing group of people you’ll soon call your colleagues.
