Job summary

Siemens Energy in Oakville, Ontario seeks a Commercial Project Manager (CPM) to own the financial execution of projects, coordinating with procurement, finance, logistics, engineering and accounting to ensure accurate earnings and cost control.

You will manage sales orders, SAP setup, revenue recognition and invoicing, lead project forecasting and financial reporting, and support contract negotiations with project managers to meet financial goals. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on accounting or finance experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.

Responsibilities

Commercial Project Manager (CPM), you will be responsible for the financial aspects of the projects and collaborate with the Project Manager! This requires working independently and across teams with varied strengths of various skills in Procurement, Finance, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Tax, and Accounting. Clear direction and communication are paramount to ensure accuracy of our financial performance and upward feedback on cost deviations. Various processes and guidelines will be applied, using different digital platforms, and ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external regulations.

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in a Finance related discipline is Required; Finance, Economics, Business or Accounting preferred; CPM, CPA or someone who is working towards a CPA designation is a plus.
• 2 or more years of hands on experience in an Accounting or Finance role.
• Detailed understanding of GAAP and IFRS
• Sophisticated skills with Microsoft Office, proficiency in Power BI & Power Query, experience with SAP, as well as strong analytical skills
• Work independently, capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines; great teammate and open to learning.
