Job summary :

The Sales & Origination Manager plays a front-line role in developing and securing commitments from business leaders to take action on climate change. As part of the Sales Team, you will be responsible for growing Bullfrog Power’s business in North America through our traditional green energy offerings as well as new products and technologies.

You are a proven, high-performing sales professional with a strong strategic ability to align value to client needs. A solid understanding of how and why businesses build reputational equity through environmental action is essential, as is the ability to tailor creative solutions using Bullfrog’s trusted brand.A strong interest in the renewable energy sector—including North American energy markets, carbon and RECs, PPAs, and energy storage—combined with a curiosity to learn more about renewable energy solutions is key to being successful in this role.

With previous experience selling high-value solutions into major accounts, you will demonstrate the ability to lead and manage complex, multi-tiered sales cycles involving diverse stakeholders from facilities and energy managers to marketing, CSR leaders, and the C-suite. This ability is grounded in excellent networking, presentation, relationship-building, analytical, and negotiation skills—supported by a genuine desire to make a meaningful impact on climate change.

Responsibilities :

  • Proactive, outbound selling to large organizations using a consultative approach; building new customer relationships and expanding on existing relationships to grow Bullfrog’s diverse portfolio of renewable energy customers
  • Actively maintaining a healthy pipeline of future opportunities that leverage Bullfrog’s unique brand
  • Working with the sales and marketing teams to conduct market analyses that inform the execution of sales strategy
  • Representing the company at key industry networking events
  • Conceptualizing and developing creative solutions that align with customer values and business drivers
  • Developing and delivering compelling pitches that win prospects’ attention and drive new business
  • Fully leveraging Salesforce to capture and utilize customer intelligence
  • Creating, targeting, and nurturing a select list of accounts to drive financial results
  • Negotiating and closing high-value contracts with major accounts
  • Nurturing and developing long-term relationships with accounts to drive value for the client and the Bullfrog brand

Qualifications & Skills :

  • Strong commercial acumen, drive, passion for learning, outcome-focused mindset, and a keen interest in North American environmental markets; passionate about innovating and exploring new markets and opportunities in a client-focused setting
  • Charismatic individual who exhibits high integrity, ability to communicate trust and authenticity in sales situations
  • 5+ years of sales experience with medium and large corporate accounts, supported by an in-depth network of corporate and industrial relationships
  • Proven ability to analyze and understand customer needs and market trends, and translate insights into Bullfrog’s sales strategy
  • Experience using Salesforce for all sales administrative activity, including account management, report generation and pipeline tracking
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Self-starter and independent worker
  • Experience in the energy sector, carbon markets and / or knowledge of energy markets including Power Purchase Agreements, Renewable Energy Credits and other energy trading practices, is preferred
  • Passionate about environmental issues; knowledgeable of sustainability reporting is an asset
  • University level education in a related field; business and / or environmental, sustainability or engineering studies is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license
