Title: National Sales Manager
Summary

The National Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and business development for new Everllence equipment within the Turbomachinery market across an assigned territory and/or customer base. This role serves as the primary commercial lead for strategic customer engagement, opportunity development, order capture planning, and contract negotiations. The position works closely with application engineering, proposal management, project execution, and global business organizations to develop customer-focused solutions, create compelling value propositions, and position Everllence as the preferred partner for complex turbomachinery and engineered equipment projects. The National Sales Manager plays a critical role in supporting profitable growth while strengthening customer relationships and expanding market presence.

Key Job Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Business Development
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers and key decision-makers throughout assigned territories and accounts.
  • Proactively identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share and increase equipment sales.
  • Develop and lead account strategies and order capture plans that support business objectives and growth targets.
  • Position Everllence as the preferred partner through consultative selling activities well in advance of formal RFQ issuance.
  • Cultivate long-term customer relationships that support repeat business and strategic growth initiatives.
Customer Engagement & Strategic Account Management
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their operational, technical, and commercial objectives.
  • Ensure customers have a thorough understanding of Everllence products, technologies, and service offerings through presentations, training, and technical discussions.
  • Maintain regular customer contact and provide timely communication throughout all phases of opportunity development and project execution.
  • Manage customer feedback and ensure concerns are effectively communicated and addressed within the organization.
  • Promote customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term partnership development.
Proposal Development & Commercial Negotiations
  • Lead the development and execution of technical and commercial sales strategies for identified opportunities.
  • Direct preparation of technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with engineering, proposal, and product support teams.
  • Develop pricing recommendations based on market intelligence, competitive analysis, customer requirements, and business objectives.
  • Create tailored value propositions that clearly communicate the customer benefits of Everllence solutions.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and finalize customer agreements and contracts.
  • Support internal approval processes and commercial reviews related to sales opportunities and contract awards.
Market Intelligence & Industry Engagement
  • Monitor market trends, customer developments, emerging opportunities, and competitive activities within the Oil & Gas, CCUS, Heat Pump, Chemical, Petrochemical, Renewable Energy, and industrial markets.
  • Analyze market conditions and communicate findings to sales leadership and business units in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, customer events, and industry organizations to strengthen market visibility and generate business opportunities.
  • Support the development of marketing materials, promotional campaigns, and customer-facing content.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, customer investment strategies, and market drivers influencing business growth.
Sales Funnel & Opportunity Management
  • Manage the entire sales funnel from lead generation through contract award.
  • Ensure opportunities are accurately maintained and updated within CRM systems.
  • Track opportunity progress, forecasting accuracy, and sales performance metrics.
  • Coordinate internal resources to ensure opportunities receive appropriate support and visibility.
  • Provide management with timely reporting on pipeline development, market activity, and sales performance.
Project Support & Customer Advocacy
  • Collaborate with project execution teams to support successful project delivery following contract award.
  • Assist with customer communications regarding scope clarification, supply issues, schedule considerations, installation support, commissioning activities, and warranty-related matters.
  • Support cross-functional coordination between Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Service, and Operations teams.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer throughout project execution and organizational decision-making processes.
Required Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.

Preferred Education

Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred.

Required Experience
  • Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, application engineering, project management, or related commercial roles involving complex engineer-to-order equipment.
  • Experience with large rotating equipment including turbo-compressors, blowers, steam turbines, gas turbines, or similar turbomachinery solutions.
  • Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of experience delivering technical product presentations and customer-facing business development activities.
  • Experience supporting customers within Oil & Gas, CCUS, Heat Pump, Chemical, Petrochemical, Renewable Energy, or related industrial sectors.
Additional Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical specifications, contracts, and commercial agreements.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset combined with a customer-focused approach to business development.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong networking capabilities and demonstrated success building professional relationships within target markets.

  • Familiarity with industry standards including API, ASME, IEC, and related customer specifications.
Physical Requirements
  • Remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing customer management, proposal development, sales planning, and computer-based work.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to customer locations, conferences, manufacturing facilities, and project sites as required.
  • Move throughout offices, customer facilities, industrial plants, and event locations to support sales and business development activities.
  • Occasionally move materials or objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Work in environments that may include varying temperatures, elevated noise levels, and industrial operating conditions.
