Pacific Honda is currently looking to fill a Sales Manager position.

*One year in Sales Management preferred*

The Sales Manager will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in planning, organizing, controlling, and measuring the employees and activities of the Sales Department. He/she will be directly responsible for developing training programs for new and used car salespeople, conducting training classes or requesting qualified assistance when necessary. This person will also handle all administrative details of the New/Used Car Department and other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

  • Establish long- and short-term goals for the sales team as directed by the General Manager.
  • Guide salespeople in setting their objectives.
  • Recommend new car inventory levels based on sales rate and current inventory.
  • Set gross profit objectives for salespeople.
  • Assist in forecasting controllable expenses for the department.
  • Set and monitor weekly sales objectives.
  • Communicate dealership policies and procedures to sales staff.
  • Enforce policy compliance.
  • Evaluate monthly sales performance of salespeople.
  • Conduct daily one-on-one meetings to monitor activities and assist customers.
  • Ensure salespeople plan their day using phone calls, emails, and appointments via the CRM system.
  • Hire, motivate, counsel, and monitor sales staff performance.
  • Supervise follow-up procedures with owners through the CRM system.
  • Review sales performance and develop training plans.
  • Recommend dismissal for salespeople failing to meet standards.
  • Conduct regular sales training meetings, including manufacturer training.
  • Work on programs to increase gross profit and finance penetration.
  • Ensure adherence to prospecting programs for maximum results.
  • Evaluate performance through monthly and quarterly reviews.
  • Coordinate efforts with Service, Parts, and Business Office departments.
  • Assist in planning programs to help salespeople reach their goals.

Other Duties:

  • Coordinate efforts to enhance the dealership's image.
  • Review performance records and address performance issues.
  • Assist in developing advertising and promotional campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other Sales Managers for professional development.
