Job Summary

Responsible for managing a team to increase sales and profitability by promoting, specifying, and selling our Mechanical products in Alberta. Develop and execute sales strategies while managing sales reps, focusing on distribution partners, contractors, building officials, and the engineering community.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Manage Sales Reps across the territory, providing training, guidance, and support to secure favorable product specifications and increase sales opportunities.
  • Set strategic objectives and standards for reps; monitor their effectiveness to ensure efficiency.
  • Plan and allocate resources to meet sales goals outlined in the business plan.
  • Collaborate with internal departments like Customer Service, Operations, and Marketing regarding pricing, delivery, training, manufacturing, and product availability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers. Coach and mentor sales reps for high performance.
  • Provide reports on market share, staff competencies, budgeting, forecasting, and other relevant metrics.
  • Attend trade shows, meetings, luncheons, and industry events to promote IPEX and expand networking within and outside Alberta.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Post-secondary education is an asset but not required.
  • 2-5+ years of sales experience.
  • Previous management experience is preferred.
  • Experience with sales tools such as CRM.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, positive attitude, collaborative, and responsive.
  • Confident, self-starting, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Critical thinker, problem solver, decision maker.
  • Qualified risk-taker with attention to detail and urgency.
  • Experience in value selling and negotiating.
