As a Sales Manager for the Germany, Austria, and Switzerland markets, you will be the driving force behind our sales success. Collaborating closely with the Director of Sales – GCC, you'll lead a dynamic team, implement effective sales strategies, and help achieve revenue targets. WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel products, rates, and promotions. Involve in cross-selling when required.
  • Monitor competitors' strengths and weaknesses; provide weekly updates after visiting competitor hotels.
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence by tracking business sources and segments.
  • Represent the hotel at trade fairs, functions, and related events.
  • Conduct sales blitzes timely and efficiently in the local city or outstation.
  • Participate in hotel activities including promotions, sales blitzes, and operational areas as directed.
  • Engage with prospective and existing customers for effective multi-department selling.
  • Respond promptly to customer requests within 24 hours.
  • Assist the DOS in pursuing new market segments and preparing proposals.
  • Develop strong, productive relationships within the assigned market segment.
  • Promote the hotel image positively to existing and potential customers.
  • Maximize revenues and control costs through proactive management.
  • Handle guest and employee inquiries courteously and efficiently.
  • Maximize hotel occupancy and average rate through creative selling.
  • Report monthly and year-to-date room nights and revenue; identify opportunities for revenue increase.
  • Report industry and local market trends.
  • Plan and execute cost-effective sales trips at least 45 days in advance.
  • Maintain a calendar of deadlines and sales activities.
  • Keep accurate records of leads, accounts, and solicitation efforts.
  • Contact and entertain clients during site visits and via invitations.
  • Respond to all correspondence promptly.
  • Prepare weekly Call Reports for the DOS.
  • Compile monthly activity and trend reports, analyze competitors' efforts, and forecast sales activities.
  • Achieve key figures from key accounts through proper action plans.
  • Sign contracts aligned with the Rate Policy in coordination with the DOS.
  • Conduct market surveys and advise management on trends.
  • Discuss and approve special deals outside guidelines with management prior to offer.
  • Familiarize with hotel emergency procedures and be prepared for emergencies.
  • Know all relevant company documentation and operational standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, respecting Rixos core behaviors: Trust, Relationship, Entrepreneurship, and Drive.
  • Assist in Task Force Teams for new openings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or vocational hospitality diploma, with 3–4 years experience in 4-5 star hotels.
