SUMMARY:

Sales Manager - Food Service and Industrial Sales role is responsible for bringing growth and expanding our market presence within the food service and industrial sectors for Altius Spices and Seasonings Inc. This role involves leading the sales department within the food service and industrial sales channels by enhancing sales processes, building strong relationships with clients, and continuing to find new customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Account Management:

  • Identify, obtain and manage key accounts within the food service and industrial channels by conducting market research, understanding customer needs, and competitors to identify new business opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with key partners and customize strategies to meet their specific needs in collaboration with internal departments such as production, supply chain, logistics and customer service
  • Gain and maintain a strong understanding of our products and company background to be well rounded and provide clear information to potential clients.
  • Participate in industry events and professional networks within the Food Industry and Industrial Sales network.
  • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies and action plans to achieve revenue goals by monitoring sales performance KPI and adjust strategies as needed to maximize results.
  • Gather feedback from initial interactions to refine strategies and improve client acquisition efforts.
  • Oversee the development and execution of sales plans and initiatives, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Track and communicate key sales metrics, such as revenue growth, sales conversion rates, customer retention, and growth per customer with the General Director
  • Regularly review sales data to identify areas for improvement. Adapt sales strategies and tactics based on performance insights to optimize results and drive continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on the food service and industrial sectors. Knowledge in spices and seasonings is an asset
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Proven sales and negotiation skills with excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP software.
  • Able to travel to meet clients, attend events, and represent the company
