We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Manager Digital Solutions to lead build and scale the sales function of our agency - turning strategy into results nurturing a high-performing team and driving revenue growth. This role requires a blend of leadership sales expertise and a deep understanding of the web development industry. The Sales Manager balances the art of relationship-building with the science of sales performance and thrives on turning vision into velocity. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping businesses achieve their online goals and possess a proven track record in achieving sales targets.

This is a full-time permanent position and primarily remote with a possibility to work from our downtown Toronto office for residents of that area. The role is part of the sales and marketing team and the incumbent will report to the company CEO & Co-Founder.

About the role

As the Sales Manager you will play a crucial role in our digital marketing agency's success. You will be accountable for building leading and managing the agency's sales team in achieving revenue targets by developing and implementing effective sales strategies building strong client relationships and ensuring the delivery of exceptional sales performance that contributes to overall business growth and profitability. You will also be responsible for identifying new market opportunities and expanding the customer base while positioning the agency as a leading digital solutions provider in the global technology marketplace.

You will work in close collaboration with other teams of our agency to ensure an exceptional customer experience at all levels.

What you will do
Sales Strategy & Business Development :
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies in alignment with organizational objectives and goals. Continuously optimize the agencys sales strategies to expand client base and achieve revenue targets.
  • Develop detailed and accurate sales quotas and forecasts in alignment with the sales plan and based on projected sales volume for existing and new clients products and services.
  • Own and oversee the entire sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to proposal development (RFP) client presentations proposal meetings negotiation and closing deals.
  • Identify new business opportunities globally and build a pipeline of prospects; collaborate with marketing to optimize lead generation efforts and campaigns.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends competitive landscape and new web technologies to identify market opportunities.
Sales Operations & Reporting :
  • Develop and build scalable sales processes and infrastructure for a growing sales team through a continuous improvement lens.
  • Standardize sales workflows qualification criteria outreach messaging and proposal templates.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior leadership highlighting achievements challenges and proposed solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics including pipeline conversion rates and revenue.
  • Ensure the CRM is leveraged effectively to maintain accurate records track sales activities and performance and to measure ROI.
  • Manage the day-to-day tactical plan to ensure successful execution of the sales strategies and identify opportunities for upselling throughout the process.
Client Relationship Management :
  • Serve as a key point of contact for high-value prospects and accounts during the sales process.
  • Ensure a seamless handoff to the project delivery team by collaborating effectively.
  • Represent the agency with professionalism and credibility in all external communications.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and expansion opportunities
  • Understand client needs and effectively communicate how our digital solutions can address their business challenges.
  • Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly; handle escalated client inquiries and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Coaching :
  • Provide daily leadership to the sales team and set individual and team sales targets and KPIs.
  • Conduct regular 1 : 1 meetings and coaching sessions with team members.
  • Manage performance evaluations of sales team members and create learning & development plans to support professional growth and quota achievement.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement success and growth.
  • Prepare for future team growth by identifying needed roles and participating in the hiring process. Onboard and train new sales team members ensuring they are equipped with the necessary product knowledge and sales techniques.
What you bring
Experience & Knowledge
  • Bachelors degree in marketing or business administration or equivalent
  • 10 years of progressive sales experience with at least 2 years in a leadership / management role preferably within a digital agency web development or IT services environment.
  • Experience selling digital solutions and services such as website development digital marketing or related tech / creative solutions. Selling to large organizations globally is a strong asset.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in an agency or service-based environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing web development technologies and other modern digital and technology solutions
  • Experience growing or building a sales team from the ground up is a strong asset
Skills and Competencies
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g. Salesforce HubSpot)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • AI automation and workflows is an asset
  • Ability to size and estimate problems / solutions and envision outcomes with clarity
  • Excellent communication presentation negotiation and interpersonal / relationship building skills.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills - able to motivate develop and drive performance.
  • Strategic thinking with attention to detail and problem solving abilities
  • Highly organized and self-driven with the ability to work efficiently both independently in a remote environment and within a team
