Johnson Outdoors is seeking a dynamic, strategic-minded professional to lead our sales efforts across the U.S. and Canada. In this role, you'll manage rep groups, serve as a brand ambassador, cultivate strong retail partnerships, drive new product placement, and expand our presence across a diverse range of channels—all while delivering profitable growth.

What you will do:
  • Partner with senior Sales leadership to manage the sales of Jetboil products within the assigned geographic area and accounts, leveraging deep industry knowledge and fostering strong client relationships.
  • Ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenue through effective program planning and oversight of independent reps and dealers.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate sales initiatives and strategies based on regional sales plans to gain market share and maximize profits.
  • Manage a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets.
  • Coordinate channel development activities, establish sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Generate new business by acquiring new accounts and developing existing accounts to increase revenue.
  • Collaborate with management on pricing and dealer discount structures to support gross profit goals.
  • Research market trends and develop competitive insights to maximize market share.
  • Create sales forecasts and participate in updating territory plans and sales goals.
  • Contribute to the sales budget and monitor marketing and sales expenses.
  • Communicate regularly with dealers about products, promotions, policies, and procedures.
  • Analyze and evaluate sales strategies and recommend improvements.
  • Provide feedback on new product needs and participate in product development processes as needed.
What you need to succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
  • Typically 5 years of experience in field sales within a consumer durable goods environment, including supervising or leading sales reps.
  • Sales experience in the outdoor recreation industry is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics, with advanced networking skills.
  • Ability to perform market analyses, forecast sales, and develop sales plans for profitability.
  • Leadership qualities, good communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of process improvements and performance enhancement.
  • Willingness to travel for customer events, trade shows, and meetings.
