We are looking to recruit a driven, ambitious individual to join our BYD team in York.

This is a fabulous opportunity to join a family-run business in the AM top 50 and represent one of our manufacturer partners. The role offers a competitive basic salary of £35,000 with an achievable OTE of £60,000.

About You

We are seeking an experienced and talented Sales Manager to lead our York dealership. Reporting to the Dealer Principal, your responsibilities include managing the sales team, meeting targets, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in business growth and team development.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, a strong leader, and capable of fostering a customer-focused environment through communication, team building, and coaching.

Key Objectives
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through a motivated team.
  • Manage training and development of sales staff.
  • Delegate and monitor responsibilities.
  • Work with the Dealer Principal on policies for profitability.
  • Develop strategies to increase sales and profitability.
  • Oversee sales campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Build relationships with financial institutions and relevant businesses.
  • Maximize sales through customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain effective communication for marketing objectives.

Handle customer complaints professionally and sensitively.

Hours

Working hours are typically 8:00 am to 6:30 pm Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday, and 10:30 am to 4:00 pm Sunday, on a shift pattern averaging 41.5 hours over four weeks.
