We are looking for a skilled, dedicated person to fill the position of Sales Manager at our Sydney, NS location.

Purpose :

Works with the Branch Manager to manage sales functions including providing guidance on sales processes, coaching, and developing sales professionals.Works with Sales, Parts, and Service Departments to create a cohesive environment, making recommendations of opportunities for the sale of parts and service products.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the sales teams to help in the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area
  • Stays current on product knowledge, features, and benefits of all equipment
  • Proactively monitors competitive activity / products and communicates to management
  • Assists with the preparation and execution of all customer events and field demonstrations
  • Maintains knowledge of financing options and assist the sales team with securing the purchase of new and used goods
  • Attends applicable sales training events as required
  • Works with our used equipment process to ensure accurate used valuations and drive used equipment sales
  • Works with sales reps to achieve Annual Sales Goals and grow market share
  • Submits sales in a timely fashion, following all sales processes
  • Help new salespeople understand our sales process and help them increase their sales volume
  • Give input in the management of existing sales staff and offer assistance in recruitment and selection of new sales staff

Requirements

  • 3+ years equipment sales experience
  • Knowledge of turf equipment operations and uses an asset
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, Accurate, Articulate
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
