Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Description:

Our member company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their team in Brantford, ON. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Duties And Responsibilities:

1. Establish and organize detailed records of financial transactions and reports.
2. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
3. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
4. Perform reconciliations of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
5. Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports.
6. Support the accounting department with various tasks and projects.
7. Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding financial matters.
8. Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
9. Participate in audits and assist with the implementation of recommendations.

Experience:

1. Over 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
2. Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
