Sales Lead - Chico's

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Sales Lead supports management in promoting a customer- and product-focused sales culture, emphasizing our values and guiding principles in all store operations, including delivering excellent customer experiences and maximizing profitability. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive for Results
- Establish clear expectations and hold the team accountable for achieving brand, performance, and behavior standards.
- Oversee operational activities such as opening/closing duties and merchandise flow.
- Supervise associates involved in sales, inventory, cash reconciliation, and customer services, ensuring proper coverage and adherence to promotions and standards.
- Maintain standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed.
- Develop a high-performance sales culture, motivate the team, and meet personal and team sales goals.
- Train and coach team members on product knowledge and selling techniques.
Build High Performing Teams
- Motivate and inspire the team, promote a shared vision, and model core values.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment for problem-solving.
- Communicate effectively with the team and management to lead positive change.
- Seek personal development opportunities and feedback to enhance leadership skills.
Customer Experience
- Promote and model the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
- Utilize sales techniques and product knowledge to meet customer needs, build customer loyalty, and resolve concerns promptly.
- Ensure efficient checkout processes and maintain customer communication through loyalty programs and clienteling.
Talent
- Support and follow up on training programs and seminars.
- Assist in developing store associates, interpret KPI reports, and provide coaching and feedback.
- Drive engagement by recognizing employee performance and ensuring adherence to employment policies.
Other duties as assigned. This role may vary across different brands.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred
- Must be 18 or older
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to learn new technology and understand store operations
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constant walking/standing during most of the shift
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent climbing
