We are looking for a Personal Insurance Broker to join BrokerLink at our Thunder Bay office on a Permanent (FT) basis.

What the Role Entails:

  • Sell new policies, write new business for existing or new clients, and retain existing accounts
  • Quote new business through outbound calls, introductory letters, and walk-in clients
  • Coordinate with Underwriters and Adjusters regarding guidelines and policies
  • Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications, issue certificates, process changes, and review renewals
  • Stay current on underwriting rules and workflow processes
  • Participate in training initiatives
  • Engage in community marketing activities
  • Manage account receivable activities
  • Provide guidance and assistance as needed

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Relevant skills or equivalent experience
  • Post-secondary education (required)
  • Sales and customer service experience
  • Ability and desire to generate sales leads
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • RIBO license (asset)
